I am absorbed by traditional craft techniques such as knitting, weaving, mosaic and rag rugs, and love getting my teeth into the technical problems presented by teaching myself. My addiction to making is enhanced by my increasing concern with the amount of rubbish generated by our modern society, and an instinctive response to re-use as much of my own rubbish as possible in ever more eccentric and creative ways.
