Comments on Paranoia by Charlie Sundt
- no it worked but alot of ppl have stolen it and its just not new anymore....its been sent as too many chai-mails to me for me to count and every person who sent it took credit for it hehe looks like uve got some stalkers eh?
- As a reader I wasn't unsettled by this piece. But for you the writer, as someone who is willing to bare his soul and anatomy to millions of web users, I can see that this was a useful exercise in examining psychology and character motivation.
- Brilliant story. Needs to be read alone and in the dark for one's imagination to start oozing phantoms, however...... Also, any ideas how I can get myself one of those bubbles of comfort?? - Stazia
- I like this one a lot - although it didn't make me feel particularly uneasy, it did make me think - I would definitely say that it does work - it questions the reader, almost accuses them. This particular subject matter is...I won't say close to my heart - I'm not a stalker! - but I'm hugely interested in what drives people to that kind of behaviour - obsession, fan culture, when admiration is no longer enough - and it is the subject matter of much of what i've been writing about recently. Anyway, just wanted to say that I like it a lot - it made me think about and redress some of what I've been writing. - Louise
- Author's comment: This was an experiment; I was trying to make the reader feel uneasy and jumpy. I guess it didn't work.
